I had some baby beets in my vegie garden this year and so I (or rather my stepdad requested) that I pickle them. I did them yesterday for Mabon. It seemed fitting - preserving the harvest on a harvest Sabbat.
Here they are getting all boiled up.
You have to love the colour of the water!
The big jar is the baby beets. I had some pickling liquid left over so I also did a couple of small jars of sliced onion.
